ABOUT ME

Welcome to ear4ucounsellor. My name is Waheeda, I'm a trained and qualified Humanistic Counsellor, local to the Wakefield area. I have been passionate about humanitarianism from a very early age and believe in improving people's lives through talking therapies. That's why I'm offering a safe place for clients, to work through any issues that might be getting in the way of you achieving your full potential.

I am offering a Professional and Confidential service in English, intermediate Kutchi and Gujarati. I have worked in the voluntary sector since 2000 supporting schools, Sure Start, Homestart, The STAR Project, Well Women Centre and the Samaritans. I have a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Higher Education Diploma in Humanities and Social Science, a Certificate in Interpersonal Skills, Certificate of Proficiency in Professional Practice and a NLP Diploma.

SERVICES

Working with ear4ucounsellor means, working with someone who will be respectful and empathetic to your needs and not tell you what to do or give you advice on the decisions YOU need to make. I am here to work with you, without judgement to explore the issues you are struggling with, to make your journey through life more manageable. Counselling takes time, commitment and the willingness to talk openly and I can provide that time and safe space, for you to work in. The approach I use, helps you to think about your feelings, understand your thoughts and helps you take responsibility for your actions, which in turn can lead to personal growth.

Counselling can benefit many issues that people are struggling with. Sometimes, it's just the opportunity to be able to talk about your thoughts and feelings that can make a difference. During our sessions, you can use arts and crafts, toys and inanimate objects to try and explain how you feel when words don't come easy. We can also practice Mindfulness together, when the stresses of the day become too much. Because the time and space is yours, you can bring your favourite room spray, a throw, music to play softly in the background or even your knitting. Anything to help you relax and feel comfortable during the session.

I offer Counselling Therapy from the comfort of my home in Lupset, Wakefield. Video Counselling can be arranged out of office hours up to 9pm NOT including Bank holiday weekends. I offer free face to face, email, telephone and video consultations. For more information about my availability, please get in touch via email or text message.

GENERAL INFORMATION

All contact information is kept in a locked drawer and shredded on completion of the contract.

£40 per therapeutic hour of 50 minutes for an individual session.

I also facilitate self care groups and host wellness days. Contact me for further information.

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice to be given for cancelling appointments or charges will apply.
